NED Alumni Association [NEDAA] is an organization based in NY, USA.  NEDAA was formed in 2001 as an umbrella organization by four New York area alumni who wanted to create an organization that did more than get to gathers, dinners and social networking. They wanted to create an organization that was useful and purposeful to all NED Alumni and its Alma Mater. NEDAA acts in the capacity of a parent / umbrella organization that brings together all the various NED groups that are scattered for a common and permanent cause. NEDAA reaches out to existing NED Alumni organizations and encourages them to participate in major events organized by NEDAA or other NED Alumni Associations. NEDAA encourages, assists and supports formation of new Alumni Associations in areas with large concentrations of NED Alumni. NEDAA acts as a liaison between Alumni Associations and NED University. NEDAA is open to all graduates of NEDUET regardless of discipline and year of graduation.

2001 - NEDAA formed

2004 - Decision made to hold National Conventions

2005 - First ever NED Alumni Convention held in Houston sponsored by NEDAA

2006 - Second Annual Alumni Convention held in Edison, NJ sponsored by NEDAA

2006 - Alumni Dinner held in DC in which Dr Shabzada Farooq and Dr Shams Haq addressed Accreditation and University Ranking issues-sponsored by NEDAA

2007 - Third Annual Alumni Convention held in Silicon Valley, CA by an independent association with full backing and participation by NEDAA

2008 - Fourth Annual Alumni Convention held in Hartford, CT CA by an independent association with full backing and participation by NEDAA

2008 - Regional Board formed and 5 new Board Members added to our Executive Board

2008 - Met with VC and advised him on various Alumni issues including accreditation, University Ranking, Undergrad Curriculum, MS &  PhD Programs and NEDUET Alumni website

2008 - Worked with Dr Shams Haq to set up and streamline the NEDUET Alumni website and online payment process

2009 - Fifth Annual Alumni Convention held in LA, CA by an independent association with full backing and sponsorship by NEDAA

2009 - NEDAA officially incorporated and started working as a nonprofit corporation with 501.3 (c ) .
